Hello,
As part of our efforts to keep all Droplets on our platform healthy, we have scheduled a maintenance on the physical machine(s) hosting one or more of your Droplet(s), which are listed below. During the above window, we will be performing migrations of all affected Droplets to new physical machines, to ensure optimal performance.
We will attempt to perform live migrations in all possible cases. A live migration would result in no downtime, but minor performance decreases in disk I/O and a second or less of packet loss as the network is switched over to the new physical host.
In the event that we are not able to perform a live migration of a Droplet, we will perform an offline migration during which the Droplet will be powered off and migrated offline during the window.
During both live and offline migrations Control Panel and API events - including: power offs, resizes, and destroys - will not succeed on the affected Droplet(s).
As a best practice, we recommend having platform level backup images on your account. Our Snapshot tool is a great place to start. In general you can also enable automated, scheduled weekly backups on your Droplet-based resources. Refer to our documentation for more information on enabling backups.
